Okorocha's loyal APC candidates may back Nwosu

There are suspicions that the candidates produced by the factional Imo APC loyal to Governor Rochas Okorocha may on the alleged instruction of the governor, work and vote Ugwumba Uche Nwosu his son-in-law and governorship candidate of the Action Alliance to enable him clinch the votes to become the next governor of Imo state in 2019.

The instruction is believed to have followed the governor's alleged insinuation that the party does not have a winning candidate in the person of Hope Uzodimma. The alleged understanding reached between the governor and some APC candidates loyal to him to work with AA from APC, has allegedly started yielding results while meetings to that effect may have allegedly been going  on in different camps of Dan Nwafor- led faction of Imo APC.

The factional state chairman of APC, Imo state, Nwafor has vowed to work for Governor Okorocha's former chief of staff, Nwosu who recently defected to Action Alliance, AA, to further his governorship ambition.

Recently at Ngor Okpala, the chairman of the Council, Hon Chidi Obinna who spoke to newsmen during his inspection tour of road construction in the area, charged his colleagues and councilors to work hard to deliver the governor's son in-law, Nwosu of AA to be their next governor.

In the same vein, 22 members of the Imo state House of Assembly recently defected to AA to push forward their various political ambitions. While some other candidates of APC from Rescue Mission faction may allegedly be still showing loyalty to the AA governorship candidate, Nwosu, irrespective of the controversy over who is the authentic gubernatorial candidate of AA between Hon Lazarus Okolinta and Nwosu.

According to Hon Obinna, the good work of Rescue Mission should continue. The Ngor Okpala Council chairman appealed to his colleagues to see reasons in supporting Ugwumba and giving him undivided votes that will enable him clinch the position as governor.

He however, enumerated the need to give votes to Governor Okorocha and Nwosu as both gave them opportunities to serve their people. Obinna said the plan to make Nwosu governor must be actualized adding that they were ready to apply different strategies to get there come 2019 notwithstanding of the political party or platform.
